Pura Baja began in the summer of 1979. Three stoked young surfers drove an old VW Bus from Dana Point, California to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Determined to surf every point break in Baja from San Miguel to Nine Palms, the trio experienced countless adventures along the way. The stage was set for one of those surfers, Gary Wright, to pursue a lifelong passion for surfing, fishing and adventure in Baja California. GW went on to open the renowned Killer Dana Surf Shop in Dana Point which is still thriving after over thirty years in business. Today GW is bringing that same energy that fueled Killer Dana to Pura Baja Clothing. Our goal is to grow the legacy of Baja California and to honor the beautiful coastlines all of us share. At Pura Baja we produce clothing designs for Baja enthusiasts everywhere. Bienvenidos a Pura Baja, authentic since 1979.
